AMC in Die Casting: Project with ILK Dresden
With support from the 2021–2027 Innovation Grant, we are launching an innovation project in collaboration with our project partner, the Institute for Lightweight Construction and Plastics Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden, to process aluminum-matrix composites via die casting. The goal of the study is to systematically investigate the processability of this innovative class of materials under real-world die-casting conditions. Among other things, the focus is on process stability and the fundamentals for future industrial application.
We look forward to collaborating with ILK Dresden and to the insights this project will provide for the development of modern lightweight materials. We would like to thank the funding agencies “Europa fördert Sachsen” and the Free State of Saxony for their support of this project.
