AMC as a functional additive material for heavy-duty joints

Welding

Welding is a key joining process in manufacturing technology, in which components are joined together by applying local heat and, if necessary, filler materials. It enables high-strength, durable joints and is suitable for both single-part production and automated series processes.

What is the role of our AMC?

AMC can be used as a welding filler material or as a component of the parts to be joined. This allows joining zones to be specifically reinforced and functionalized, for example in terms of wear resistance or temperature stability.

Advantages of AMC in welding

  • Functionalization of joining zones through ceramic reinforcement
  • Reduced formation of weld seam defects
  • Improved wear and temperature resistance of the weld seam
  • Good integration into existing welding processes with customized process control

Examples from industry

  • Highly stressed connections in mechanical and plant engineering
  • Repair and reinforcement jobs in automotive and heavy-duty applications
  • Hybrid components made of AMC and conventional aluminum alloys
  • Mobile welding repairs in industrial plants
