Reinforce your component in exactly the right place. Our AMC powder creates functional surfaces!

Coatings with AMC

Coating is a process in which a functional layer is applied to the surface of a component/substrate. This layer can provide wear or corrosion protection, thermal or electrical insulation, and perform many other tasks.
In many coating processes, the material to be applied is produced in powder form. This is the case, for example, with thermal spraying processes used in large-scale industrial applications. The processing of conventional aluminum powders has been standard practice in these applications to date.

What is the role of our AMC?

For you as a user, processing our AMC composite powders is incredibly easy. You can make full use of your existing aluminum powder plant technology without any modifications: plug-and-play.

Advantages of AMC in the process

  • Reinforcement phase is already evenly embedded in the material
  • Conventional processing steps can be adopted 1:1
  • No segregation
  • Customizable layer composition for functional surfaces
  • No abrasive effect of SiC in powder processing machines
  • Increased wear and temperature resistance

Examples from industry

  • Coating of brake discs tested by CMMC
  • Retrofitting existing components without completely replacing the base material
  • Wear and abrasion protection coatings
  • Local reinforcement of highly stressed areas
  • Corrosion and temperature resistance for extreme operating conditions
  • All situations where a wear-resistant surface is required, but AMC does not need to be used for the entire component.
